| DROP BY THE STORE and meet the owners, JILL NELSON -- Jill got into horses late in life but took to them with a passion. She now writes horse columns for the Tehachapi News, Loop and Mojave Desert News and is knowledgeable in riding, showing and breeding. JOHN NELSON -- John grew up with horses in rural Washington State and, with wife Jill, operated a breeding and show stable for the past 10 years, caring for as many as 22 American Quarter Horses at Bar Double J Ranch. AL ANDERS -- Al is a former professional roper and grew up in Southern California, riding and training horses for his grandfather, who contracted them to the U.S. Army. He also is a cattleman and master welder, doing much of the metal fabrication for the store.
